Rural Self-Reliance Development Centre (RSDC) conducted a Social Audit and Public Hearing of the Global WASH Project implemented in Balara and Dhankaul of Sarlahi District, and Manra Siswa and Samsi of Mahottari District, Madhesh Province. The program was chaired by the Executive Chief of RSDC, with the Mayor of Balara Municipality as Chief Guest and the Chairperson of Samsi Rural Municipality as Special Guest. The event brought together local elected representatives, municipal officials, committee members at community level, Local Resource Persons, beneficiaries, and RSDC project staff. Through discussions, feedback collection, and field observations, participants reviewed project achievements and institutional performance. An evaluation conducted in line with Social Welfare Council guidelines confirmed that project activities were implemented effectively, with satisfactory levels of transparency, accountability, and good governance. Local governments and communities expressed strong demand for project continuation and expansion, including broader infrastructure support. RSDC acknowledged the feedback and informed participants that requests for project expansion have been submitted to the donor agency, while also thanking local governments and community institutions for their continued cooperation.
